Gurame Edan plays keroncong music, a type of musical style growing in musical traditions in Java, Indonesia. Keroncong is popular in the country and famous with the ukulele-type instrument. Related to its traditional form of music and styles, Gurame Edan pioneered to play popular rock 'n roll songs in their performances - fly away from any standard and conventionality of keroncong music. In this video, Gurame Edan plays "Honky Tonk Woman", a song from the Rolling Stones. Closely enough listening can reveal a unique style, and its not an exaggeration to say that Gurame Edan here has grown the Stone's Honky Tonk Woman into its keroncong style of playing. It broadens the horizon of the songs while it appears to point that keroncong is a kind of musical style with its beautiful uniqueness. The performance was on February 21st 2009, in Museum Barli, Bandung.
