In Dinotopia: Journey to Chandara, artist and author James Gurney escorts readers— adults and children alike— to the wondrous lost island of Dinotopia, an enthralling world of art, science, exploration, and invention in which humans and dinosaurs live peacefully together. In the spirit of Marco Polo and Gulliver's Travels, Journey to Chandara recounts the adventures of explorer Arthur Denison and dinosaur Bix through the exotic eastern realm of Dinotopia.

  • @0toHero Fun idea, gl though doubtful. If it were me I wouldnt allow someone to take my brainchild, for exaxmple, does one believe JK Rowling wouldnt mind if someone added to her made-up story?

  • How come people like this guy but they don't like Thomas Kinkade?

  • He's my dream man. Seriously. He's the perfect male being. Not some stupid airheaded hercules. :P

  • @nicksynnz yeah, that's why many of us like to use our imagination and dream of things like Dinotopia

  • @Utahraptor2002 Sadly enough the dinos died 60 million years before we were swinging from tree to tree.

  • I'm currently writing my own Dinotopia novel.

I hope James Gurney can authorize it someday...

  • I absolutly loved Dinotopia: Into the Deep (idk if thats what its called) but it was amazing, i checked that book out of the library almost every week

  • I agree. I have always had the same dream of Dinosaurs coexisting with humans, but I could never do what James Gurney has done with nearly the skill or detail.
