Performance from "The Wilburn Brothers Show" by Teddy and Doyle Wilburn with Loretta Lynn (born Loretta Webb). Song written by Dolly Parton and her uncle Bill Owens. Teddy and Doyle Wilburn were from Hardy, Arkansas. Loretta, the coal miner's daughter, is famously from "Butcher Holler" (or Hollow), a section of Van Lear, a mining community near Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky.

  • Pure gold.

  • I even get it as a adult now. instead of when i was a kid .Dance Loretta.... no doyle teddy, you dance im the hit, you guys are used to be's .I honesttly love the wilburn brothers and their music , but saw that shovonistic thing once i grew up and , re-watched the shows on rfd tv

  • love this!

  • They weren't in the movie because they didn't want any part of it unless it was going to be told correctly, instead of the writer's taking creative license with it.

  • @conwaynick ...What did they do? She dit'n go into what it was they did in her book. Her lawyer warned her not to talk about it, so I'm just wondering if it ever came out. I'm sure it was financially related, whatever it was.

  • Loretta Lynn did theWiburn Brothers right but they did Loretta wrong,,,,that's why in the movie Coal Miners Daughter they weren't shown. It doesn't pay to be nasty.

  • Fabulous !

  • My Uncle sounded a lot like Teddy back in the day. Watching the Wilburn Bros. always brings back great memories of him playing and singing. I miss him a lot, but I know he is singing in heaven now.

  • do you have a copy of Rita Faye on the Wilburn Brothers show?

  • The Bill Owens-Dolly single is my favorite. Carl & Pearl Butler made a huge hit out of it in the early 60's. I must admit the Wilburn bros w/Loretta are a very awesome combination also.
