Paul Polak Award for Social Innovation (2-min highlights)

International Development Enterprises (iDE) presented the first annual Paul Polak Award for Social Innovation to iDE founder Paul Polak at the closing of the Cooper-Hewitt Design for the Other 90% exhibit at RedLine gallery in downtown Denver on September 22, 2011.

iDE CEO Al Doerksen introduced Paul, sponsoring corporation Ball Aerospace CEO and longtime friend of Paul's Dave Taylor presented a personal introduction and stories of his travels with Paul, Paul himself spoke on the opportunities inherent in treating poor people as customers, and Metropolitan Homes CEO Peter Kudla closed out the event with a warm thank-you.
