Dr. Jeffrey Sachs is the Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General on the Millennium Development Goals. Dr. Sachs is also the Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. He has twice been named one of TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people, and his books "The End of Poverty" and "Commonwealth" have inspired college students nationwide and worldwide to take action and address extreme poverty.

Dr. Sachs also serves as an Advisor to the Millennium Campus Network. The Millennium Campus Network (MCN) is a national network of university student organizations working to reduce extreme poverty. In this special video message, Dr. Sachs thanks college organizers for their activism and urges them to increase their efforts in 2010.
