EuroNews - Interview - EuroNews talks Olympic boycott

Robert Ménard is a man with a mission. The founder and secretary-general of "Reporters Sans Frontières", or "Reporters Without Borders", is calling for a boycott of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games. He was one of three protestors who disrupted the traditional lighting of the Olympic flame to protest at what they say is human rights abuse in Tibet and China. Not the best publicity for a country hoping to show the world a positive image during the Beijing games. Robert Ménard tells EuroNews that mixing politics with the Olympics has become inevitable, especially when China is the host.

Don't call this guy French. Everyone knows Menard is financed by the CIA. At first he denied it, but he was forced to come clean after La Presse revealed his links to the U.S. government. The man is a fraud. Even Jean-Claude Gillebaud, the man who co-founded RSF has completely disavowed this guy. Do some research on the guy and you'll see what I mean.

We shouldn't boycott the games. There are so many things we could do to China to show our disapproval. Boycotting a stupid opening ceremony is so childish. It's like a little kid throwing a fit at the playground because one person is acting badly.

No one is going to boycott. Athletes are already arriving in Beijing. George Bush and other world leaders had already changed their mind and will attend the Opening Ceremony. China will host a successful Olympics. Good luck to all!
