yep i agree with you tropic. mine is not a gt though it is glx 5.0. use to be a texas dps police car. retired now of course. i have had the car for about 18 years now. got it when i was 18 myself. did a shit load of work to it years ago but has fallen into disrepair. now here it sits in my garage just waiting for me to play with it once more. it needs to be updated real bad. i checked on the vin and it is 1 of 130 made or something like that. needless to say it is fairly rare. 83 forever.

one of the many ugly yenk scumbag junk!

@at3gtguy I have a 1980 that has some bugs to her which disqualifies her as a daily driver, now that its more than just a short trip across town to work for me. Just having her out there sitting in the parking lot of my dorms just kills me, but with gas prices so high I can't afford to keep two tanks full.

Gotta' love ol' 4 eyes...

@pwkid But the Mustang in this video isn't using a line lock. He is using his brakes. And we aren't talking about the difference between drum brakes and disc brakes either. We are talking about burnouts....
-
@gtdrummerdude lawls. Line lock? You also seem to forget that the rear had drum brakes, which have WAY less stopping power than a disc set-up.
-
Yep your brakes work.
-
@gtdrummerdude i totally agree. i bet over the years people have posted a million brake burnouts on youtube. enough burnouts. (:>)
lol. power braking burnout? lol. it takes real horsepower not to hold the brake down. (:>)

Check out my other videos. I have one were i am side by side with a Pontiac Ventura. I role out of the burnout in Second gear and fry the tires for about 100 yards, no brake or line lock.

haha, who needs a rev limiter when you have valve float...it was probably only about 6 grand or so, the motor loves to rev..or is it that i love to rev the motor, either way it is still on one piece and those videos were taken about 5 years ago...

@at3gtguy Thanks for posting this. I just shed a tear. I miss my 83 GT so much. I wish I'd waited out the storm, but I traded mine in on a 91 Civic Si. Don't hate me. I was driving up to 800 km a week, and had trouble keeping the tank full, + insurance. I hope to own another one someday. Take care of yours.
