Money-Driven Medicine provides the essential introduction Americans need if we are to address the unmet healthcare policy challenges of the next decade. Produced by Academy Award winner Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side; Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room) and inspired by Maggie Mahar's acclaimed book, Money Driven Medicine: The Real Reason Health Care Costs So Much, it offers the only systemic look on film at the economics underlying -- and often undermining -- our $2.6 trillion healthcare system.

Perhaps, the fact US is the only for profit medical system in the modern world and has BY ANY OBJECTIVE MEASURE, the highest percapita expenses and the worst outcomes of any country in the modern world? percapita highest infant deaths, shortest lifespans, most uninsured, most medical bankruptcies, most iatrogenic deaths, worst satisfaction and almost the worst wait times. I've been criticizing current economic systems in this very comment section, so you'd see that if you bothered to look. A central authority cannot know the needs and desires of the population. There is no mechanism to do so. People do not need someone else running their own lives.

Yes I have. They haven't shown anything that cannot be done by others already. They do not have the mathematical formulas that are required to run an economy because there is not way to know all the factors that go into it. Making central management work is not an issue of needing more or faster computers.

@TheAnubisDrake train and maintain the quality in the medical schools, and importing some out of work doctors from Cuba and the Caribbean (many west indians having attended British med school). My idea could work, but it would make the person implementing the plan more unpopular than Scott Walker
