Leon James is beyond description! Aside from being one of the best Lindy Hoppers that ever was, his great sense of humor always seems to come out in his dancing. Here at the Savoy Ballroom, probably in the early 1950's, his form of dancing is way ahead of it's time......it's no wonder Hip-Hop/Break Dancing came out of NY!

  • sharp moves, tip top

  • I agree but I think that's what happens when you put a movie camera on anybody (even a great) and say do something amazing.

I'm sure this clip doesn't do him justice.

  • Excellent footage! Five stars!

  • hell yes..wow...check my vid of "Paulo Nutini new release pencil full of lead with Al Minns and Leon James dancing"..awsome

  • great dancing and leading, special little effects inbetween the lines! i doff my hat for the guy!

  • wow...wow...think i replayed this 15times.

  • IMHO

to much a showboat for me he didn't even pay attention to his partner most the time. and the dancing suffered because he put himself before his lead

  • this isnt the music he was dancing to. its a bit upsetting.

  • AH! thanks! hahah DUH!
