  • this worked on my PS3 however about 30 seconds fter turning it on it tunred off again an i now i have the red light blinking again, i have had the yellow light before an i have fixed that twice, im just wondering why it has broken again in such a short periord of time???? please respond

  • @maxwynne88 hi max it could be that the chip itself is bad however what you need to do if you have reflowed it twice is replace the thermal underneath the heat spreader just on the rsx. To much heat fries that stuff out and will cause it to overheat immediately. Give that a try see if it help.

  • Okay.. So i followed these videos and i tore apart my ps3. Used the exact same things you did.. And it doesnt even turn on with the power... When i was heating up the motherboard it was smoking. I followed the steps exactly!!!! now i am fucked.. There goes 400$ on my 80gib ps3.. FML! Now i gotta spend 250$ more on a new one.. FML FML FML

  • @coldie5445 sounds like you did not lplug in the power supply to me and smoking is ok if you used flux does not mean its fcked. I can still fix it with the equipment i have as well

  • hey thanks for taking ur time to share this with us :D

  • I followed your video step by step and the red light still flashes after turning it on...should I try it again? Mine is the 60gb which looks a little different than the ones on the video. It had been refurb. by GameStop when I bought it but that only lasted 4 months. I also replaced the thermal pads. Any suggestions?

  • I fixed mine!!!!! Yay and I'm a girl! Wassa!!! Haha my brother doubted me so much..either way thank you so much for the videos.

  • Hey man I've done everything that was said in these videos and when I ply in the power supply and flip the switch no light comes on whatsoever, I was wondering if you knew how to fix it? Thanks, and awesome videos by the way
