Satellite TV is illegal in Iran but it is also the country's secret obsession. Satellite dishes are everywhere, yet the Morality Police force entry into homes with wire cutters, spoiling all the fun.

'Iranians are fed up with state television's propaganda', so many illegally view foreign television. For many Iranian women, satellite TV offers escapism. 'When I leave the house, I am subject to the persecution of the moral guards' says one woman; 'that's why I prefer to sit at home and watch satellite TV'. However, many Iranians are being forced underground as the Mullah state imposes strict sanctions including banishment on anyone who views anything other than state television.

I think it is wrong to do something like this against the law of the country no matter what it is.

I am canadian, so i am probably the most liberal of all other nations but from my point of view, they government has reasons.

Some people will say that the gov is wrong but i would say the wrost goverment of all times was BUSHs but that didnt mean people had the right to break the STUPID laws he imposed on them.

They're showing how wide spread the ownship of satellite dishes are in Iran. Theyre basically saying, these poor village people who dont have cars and live a very rural life style can still have access to these "banned" items ;)
