Ryan Jahnke - 2000 US Nationals free skate (LP). This was a really wonderful performance. The first couple of jumping passes were a little unsteady, but he got stronger as the program went on. The way the spins & footwork are choreographed to the music is especially nice. He finished 5th overall.
I was lucky enough to see this live. It was incredible and he got one of the biggest rounds of applause that night. I'll take this kind of skating over quads any day.

He was so good. I was actually looking for something older than this but I can't locate anything before 2000. I worked for the 1998 US Nationals in Philly and met him there. He came in 8th I believe. I saw him every day and went to the athletes' closing party and we hung out a bit. I thought he was the coolest kid. Great smile.
