Tyrian 2000 - Brainiac and Nose Drip level

Anyone who hasn't heard of one of the best shoot 'em ups of all time, or at least one of the best for DOS, needs a good punch in the face. Oh, and has to get this game.

how did you get that ships ability on the top left hand corner? i never seen that before and i played for years over and over again.

@Nhoshishi one of the things you can get in either episode 4 or 5, not sure which. I think it was on the icesecret level but i'm not sure. there's something you can kill early in the level which drops you the special weapon, and then you hold onto that and near the end of the level you find another one and that upgrades it to the one you're looking at right there. it's the best thing in the game really.

Hey, try pressing F2, F5, and F6 all at the same time its an invincibility cheat and i love it!

I think that's also the code that screws you over in the hard modes.

actually it works perfectly fine on all difficulty levels and i made a mistake its f2 f3 and f6 for invincibitlity

nice vid. the blue special lazer is pretty effective but i always try to get also the laser as front gun and sonic as rear weapon THEN you're almost invincible and bosses just are too weak for you!

Actually, that's not the Zica Laser. The "Blue Laser" we were talking about was the Special Weapon used in the vid ; that's the SDF Main Gun.

I agree with you ; the Zica Laser is not as tough as it looks. The ordinary Laser is much better, and to me, it seems that Zica Laser level 10 is STRONGER than level 11 (it only shoots 1 laser instead of 2, but it's faster, and it moves along with your ship instead of going straight forward).

Oh, and the Food Weapons are cool, but kinda weak overall.

sonic pulse sucks a lot as a rear weapon. mini guided bombs are better. and those battleships are nonsense, 2 plasma storms and all bosses are ripped instantly, plus in hard modes those are quite useful in certain situations.
