  • They called in David Waller to play Baldwin who also played him in Edward and Mrs Simpson. I think Anthony Andrews is trying to play Edward VIII as Edward Fox played him. It's ironic that Andrews played Baldwin in the King's Speech.

  • HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE WALLIS, SHE WAS STYLE AND TASTE INCARNATE! ALSO A BREATH OF FRESH AMERICAN AIR!!!

  • this girl is the ultimate whore, trashy, greedy, over ambitious, greedy and selfish she just want to marry the man for his money, position and power, why couldnt she keep her legs close

  • @wenglishsal Hello from Bronx NY USA. This was a PBS Masterpiece Theatre series titled Elizabeth R and Glenda Jackson starred in the title role. Happy to share its one of my favorites. • @ebonilia ... WOW moreRobert Hardy info for me then, who played Elizabethand was it a film or made for TV, just out of curiosity??? My very best regards from Wales UK ... :0)x

  • @wenglishsal I remember Mr. Hardy as Robert Dudley the love of Queen Elizabeth I. He is my favorite and I agree he is magnificent a true gem

  • Gosh Robert Hardy gets about doesn't he... He played President Roosevelt in 'Bertie and Elizabeth' and he was in 'Sense and Sensibility' and also played 'Albert' in a very early series about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert..

What a talented man indeed and I shall always remember him too as Seigfried Farnon in 'All Creatures Great and Small' about a vet in Yorkshire called James Herriot.. WOW indeed :0)x

  • Wallis didn't love 'David the man', she loved 'David the king'! She was a trashy American social climber. And just like David , she was a nazi sympathizer. Thank God he abdicated. I just can't understand why the royal family put on such a good show for his burial; he was a playboy at best, a traitor at worst. A total embarrassment, not only to the royal family, but to the entire U.K. Good ridance to them both!!

  • i dont think he cared to be king at all

  • Olivia de Havilland - a class act and a classy actress.
