Testing Agentgates coil Cave Man Style =]

Using a coil oscillators bemf to create enough voltage from 4 AA to run an Agentgates coil. It is not quite the pulse generator that some may have, but I am producing the required voltage at this point and pulsing that voltage across the primary of the Agentgates coil setup. I am lighting an LED on the secondary and another LED with just a alligator lead wrpped aroung the outside about 3 times. and also show 1 wrap lighting the led.

How long do your reed switches last?

They hold up pretty good within certain parameters. The blue glow doesnt seem to hurt them near as bad as spiky sparks do, as the spiky cause buildup on the contacts.

But they do last much longer than a typical reed when using higher voltage and currents. These are DDR-113 GE from about 20 yrs ago found 25 on ebay for 12 dollars shipped. Couldnt pass it up.

Why don´t you use your first BackEMF circuit and got directly with these spikes into the AGentgates

coil ?

Do you have a scope and can post a few scopeshots ?

Hey Stefan. I have tried the direct bemf to the primary but it isnt the same. 1 bemf pulse is not the same as a few stored. I am looking for a scope as we speak, and the scope could help my answer to your first question. I was trying to get within the voltage parameters as Ag stated. The 12v relay coil w/resistors also help to cheaply regulate the .33uf cap voltage as a light load, and provides a Tesla type pulse.
