The first production Colt Model 1911's were not perfect. There were several small changes requested by the Ordnance Dept and Springfield Armory.
Join me as I take a look at some of the changes that took place prior to World War I with this beautiful example of an early Model of 1911 United States Navy issue (Assembled in April, 1912)

  • Great video as usual! You explain the history and designs of all these pistols very well and IMO, better than the guy from the NRA museum on Curator's Corner.

  • @nick10463 mr hollywood HD critic! you probably want 3D! MrColt has made an informational video, quite well done and spoken eloquently. i watched it at 360 and it was fine, get your head out of your ass and scrape the shit from your eyes.

  • It's hard to believe that pistol there is that old. What great shape. Your vids are some of my favorites. Your 1911 knowledge very impressive.
