The first production Colt Model 1911's were not perfect. There were several small changes requested by the Ordnance Dept and Springfield Armory.
Join me as I take a look at some of the changes that took place prior to World War I with this beautiful example of an early Model of 1911 United States Navy issue (Assembled in April, 1912)
