Is it safe to power-up w/o any modules? & just use an ext preamp via effects loop?

@Zhorellski Having the amp on without the modules will not hurt it. I don't know if you'll be able to get any sound out of it or not. That might work. You can use it with just one module also.

What kind of mods did you do to the module? Because i own it, and i would never be able to get this kind of note definition out of it(It feeds way to much bass into the preamp.).

@notuern No mods. I always keep the bass about half way on the preamp and the master prescence all the way up. I usually have the treble pretty high and the bright switch engaged with the mids turned down. That prescence control is the only way I've gotten it to really bite and sound like an actual Marshall.

@stringchild1 thanks! I got my RM22 and it work w/o any module and I tested it hooking up pod hd thru the input.. Presence and Density knobs work too!
