I got stuck on traveler disk set up couldn't find my usb drive.

i dont like that we have to mount and dismount. i simply want the flash drive password protected before i can access it. :S

@abbaahmed Your procedure is easy to catch, that was so good information. After I did this encryption Sir, on 7:13 I tried i went to tools then travelers disk setup, I did what you did but nothing appear on my USB the Truecrypt folder. In that case If i go to other computer or cafe should I download the truecrypt for me to see the encrypted drive i did? thanks..

Truecrypt recommands that you move your mouse arrow back and forth in the encryption widow as fast as you can to help strenthen the encryption before you format. The longer the better it says.

But if you take your USB flash drive or ext hdd and plug it into another PC somewhere will need truecrypt installed on that PC before you can access your data ! Is this correct?
If so is there a way i can just have trucrypt instaled on my ext hdd (seagate go flex 500GB) so where i go an dplug into a PC i simply access my data after typing password with no need to install software ?

@jhenprache if you followed the process correctly, you should see a Truecrypt icon similar to the one on your desktop. There is no need install it on every computer you access.

@ smithlee07 you can view the process of how to access your files on another computer without installing truecrypt on this same video starting from 7:13 minutes. Thank you for commenting and I hope I answered your question.

if your admin set restrictions to block other desktop users from installing programs, you can't install the program. However, if you setup the traveler's disk as suggested, you will avoid needing to install truecrypt. Thanks for comment and hope I answered your question.
