Everyone should know : an incandescent light bulb makes light by heating a metal filament wire to a high temperature until it glows. The hot filament is protected from air by a glass bulb that is filled with inert gas or evacuated. [from wikipedia]
What happens if I fill the bulb with air? The metal filament burns out with smoke!

Here is my how-to:

1) Take a good (working) bulb light and do a little cut in the glass without breaking it. I used a small saw.
2) Prepare the scene. You need a good background (I used a black bath towel... thanks to my sister) and much light to illuminate the bulb light. You should be able to shot at 1/200 or shorter. I used two spot lights.
3) Set the camera and take some pictures to ensure everything is ok.
4) Start to shot continuously as fast as the camera can and switch on the bulb light.

If you are lucky (as I was) you will take at least one good picture.
I realized this video joining almost all of the images taken during my three test with three different (of course) bulbs.

Good luck and enjoy!
