Trees, a poem by Joyce Kilmer, is sung here by Paul Robeson (with the incredible bass voice). I love trees, this poem and the strength of Robeson's voice.

  • Wonderful voice!

  • Beautiful!

  • @buyUSA9808 - Yes! YouTube doesn't allow links in the comments, but search "Trees Melody Time" and there's several. Hope you enjoy as much as I do... = )

  • @buyUSA9808 - 'Trees' was featured in 'Melody Time' - one of my favorite, semi-rare Disney movies. The cartoon & song always makes me cry! It's incredibly beautiful... If I can find a YT link, I'll send along...

  • Beautiful song, singer and video. What are we doing to our earth? Paul Robeson would have been fighting to say the least.

  • Simply gorgeous! And thanks for such a lovely Vid.Well done.

  • Paul Robeson's magnificent interpretation of Joyce Killmer's poem is a perfect harmonious match that expresses the sacred grandeur of the Creator's Mother Earth. Robeson's song should especially be played when reflecting upon our celebration of Earth Day every year, as it poignantly captures the spiritual essence of why we are striving to preserve and protect it.

  • why do you not allow embedding?

  • I've heard this song before--possibly in a Disney movie, perhaps? I know I have, and its driving me nuts that I can't think of it.
