President Ron Paul for 2012?!

Ron Paul has announced that he'll be launching an exploratory committee and flirting with a presidential run for 2012. But while the 75 year old Paul has long been considered a political outsider here in Washington, and a long shot presidential candidate, you have to wonder if the timing could be right. Reason Magazine's Brian Doherty discusses if Paul could actually have a shot.

Paul has voted and stood the same way through his entire 40yr (?) career in politics, even if it made him not mainstream likable, that is the type of person you need.

@ThePowerV3 and thats ok, everyone is entitled to view and interpret things their way. if you've listened to him and thoroughly and truly believe that thats the case then so be it!

the thing is is that that has to emerge from the belief that its ok to take money from one person by force rather than choice to give to someone else! me personally i dont see why its fair that i save and miss out on the things that others waste money on and then have to pay for them.

@becij13 Yeah... you say that.. but whatabout his idea that a kid in a coma, with no insurance or anyone to pay for it, should be left to die, because thats what freedom is all about..responsibility.

yes, let a person die, because its their own fault they didnt buy insurance when they should have, thats a GREAT message. When Ron Paul talks of isolation, he MEANS isolation, not on a state level, or national level, but even from your fellow human being.

AS it stands right now, I would NOT vote for Ron Paul. He has NOT voted , as opposed to voting against, on matters concerning veterans; he did NOT vote on the NDAA, although badmouthing it - he did not vote on that subject. He is a foreign policy Isolationist, which is dangerous with all those "Jihadist morons" that orgasm at the thought of world dominance.

i am in total agreement with ron paul on everything! whether it be legalization of drugs, foreign policy to personal liberty with responsibilty....he has a great philosophy on life and i dont want nor do i need any gov to tell me not to do bad things. legalize heroin i wont touch it, dont attack other countries and ill feel safer and give me freedom and ill ensure ill honour my responsibilities!

@ecwaufisxtreme I think Buddy Roemer is more electable than Sarah or Michelle. If Sarah ever becomes prez this country will be finished for good. Look at all the war she wants w/nations we have no business invading. How is that being patriotic & fiscally conservatively responsible? I don't see it.
