I am so upset. No Nutcracker, no playing in the snow, no running through puddles, no shaving, and I have to spend Christmas in a cast. I'm also kind of happy. People are really nice to me. They open doors for me instead of me opening doors for them. I got the cast put on Dec. 2. It is not broken at least not the bones, the muscles tendons and ligaments might be. I have what doctors call accessory navicular syndrome. I may be having surgery someday.

  • I have the same thing and I am also a dancer so I know exactly how you feel. I had to do nothing for three months but it still hasn't gotten any better so now we are considering surgery. Unfortunatly I have to pull out of my college dance course because I cant dance.

Glad to see that you are returning to dance :) Things do get better then x

  • @DarlingArts Thanks. Good luck with the surgery. I spent two months in a brace and one in a cast. I couldn't point my foot for three months. I still danced though even with the cast. I am finally able to point it and releve on it. I am really excited.

  • Hello darling, it sad to see you on crutches. How is your cute leg? Hope you are getting better soon. Best wishes for you.

  • @kobloskornel It's better! The cast came off last Tuesday. I go back to dance next week.

  • @bbhouk1 I didn't play in the snow, but I walked out in it and got my walking shoe wet, so I had to hop around on one foot until it dried. I'm glad your right foot is ok. My parents won't let me have surgery and I suffer everyday. It never really stopped hurting. As a dancer and former gymnast, I use my feet a lot. They always hurt. I would like to have the surgery though. Good luck with your feet.

I had the Kidner procedure done when I was 11 years old. As far as surgeries go it's okay. I was on crutches over Christmas too (the day after the surgery I played Mary at my church, it was hilarious). I'm 12 now and considering having it done to my left foot too, though I don't want to tell my parents how much it hurts yet. School is almost out, I'd have to wait till then anyway. I'm a gymnast so I understand your being cooped up too.

P.S. I played in the snow anyway!

  • @americangirlballet its good to hear, i hope u upload some new vids about you dancing:) Take care.

  • @MrArmando169 I hope your surgery goes well. I might have to have it.
