this was a 3 man heat so no prioriry rule is in effect. Basically, the left was a rideably wave and the right was a inferior closeout with no point scoring potential. I don't know why Jordy went. Didn't he have a 18 point combined score already? just a rookie mistake imo.

Also, Aranburu had Priority, so if jordy made anymore to paddle for the wave, he would get an interference

i agree it is and average call, yet the judges obviously deemed that the wave was more to Aranburu's favour, because in the footage the Left is obviously the more quality wave
