Madinah Najla James Biography-

Madinah N. James is a writer/producer as well as a fledging correspondent. She started her career in television in June 1998 upon graduating from the University of Maryland College Park as a production assistant for Good Day New York on WNYW-FOX-5. After building an impressive resume from networks such as FX Cable, Turner Broadcasting and Court TV, she started working as a production coordinator on the CNN Financial News show, Moneyline with Lou Dobbs in 2001. During this time, the 9/11 terrorist attacks occurred so it was an extremely busy time in the news industry.

Madinah coordinated with field reporters and producers to obtain footage in line with proper video content and story idea synchrony as well as aligned with affiliates and international bureaus to create newsworthy stories. Ultimately, Madinah landed a position producing at MSNBC in 2003, at the beginning of the war in Iraq. Madinah was responsible for researching newsworthy segments and producing video and copy for air, working with editors to get video cut for on- air quality as well as coordinating video segments for live on-air shots with national and international correspondents and guests.

Being an actual part of news history during these events fueled the fire in Madinah to want to report on a variety of groundbreaking, global news stories.

I have always loved television and media, every since I was a young child. I have always had a photographic memory of various entertainers, television shows, movies, historical events and people. Always an imaginative person, English was my favorite subject in grammar school and I have loved writing and expressing myself since that time. It just seems like a natural progression that I have forged a career in media.

After taking a break from the news world in 2004, Madinah cultivated her creativity in other projects through interior design consulting, event coordinating for a talent competition at Madison Square Garden as well as booking notable national and international real estate speakers for a continuing education organization.

Madinah is currently writing, producing and embarking on a correspondent career and also launching Socialite International/MediaDiva Enterprises, with divisions focusing on TV/Film Production, Public Relations, Networking, and Life Coaching.
