@apologeticsman How do you know for sure that the burning of such scriptures isn't the reason we only have 66 books. U r telling me Paul's first epistle to the Corinthians and Ladocians are false scripture because, according to you, that is why they are not in the Bible. Why does the Bible refer to them if they are false? The O.T. had plain references about the Christ, but J. Martyr (ancient Christian), says many were blotted out by the Jews because they were full of enmity towards the Christ.

In the Book of Exodus, it says Moses Died, But He WROTE IT

Mormons never doubted God's ability to protect the Bible, but for some reason, which he has not yet fully explained, he allows bad things to happen - & that includes tampering with the Bible. Tell me, where are theses books the Bible mentions:Books of Gad and Nathan (Chr. 29:29); Book of Shemaiah (2 Chr.12:15); Book of Jehu (2 Chr. 20:34); Paul's first epistle to Corinth (1 Cor. 5:9); epistle to church of Laodicea (Col. 4:16); Prophecies of Enoch (Jude 1:14). There are more, but I named a few.

@SamoanT1000 Yes, God allows bad things to happen, but God CAN NOT allow His precious word which saints, kings, priests and prophets died to write and protect. The Bible of course promises this, but since you don't believe in the Bible, it wouldn't matter to you anyway...The so called missing books are not missing at all, they simply were not included by God in the Bible. If one trusts in man, one has built his house on wet sand.

@apologeticsman If God won't allow the scriptures to be destroyed, how do you explain the fact that Roman Emperor, Diocletian, was able to burn them as he was persecuting Christians? About the missing books, if they are not missing, then, where are they? If they are God's word, they should have been included, because HIS works are endless. You must do a research on how men of the Dark Ages tampered with the Bible, chopping off anything that did not support their interpretation of scripture.

@SamoanT1000 You say that, yet you fail to realize that they were NOT destroyed. We have them today, all 66 books, and the so called "lost books" aren't lost at all. Most of them can be viewed at any public library, and someone with spiritual discernment can see that they really don't add up and are not true scripture. The question is, who do YOU place your trust in; man, or God. It's a simple question. BTW, how do you know the Book Of Mormon isn't corrupted, with plain parts lost?

@SamoanT1000 The last comment should have read "God CAN NOT allow His precious word which saints, kings, priests and prophets died to write and protect be destroyed or diminished in such a way that its message is no longer available to all who need it" Also, may I ask how you know the Book Of Mormon hasn't been altered?

Mormons have never questioned the validity of the Bible. It's not the validity of the Bible that's in question, it's what uninspired men did to the Bible in the Dark Ages. So, you see, the discrepancies mostly occurred after the apostles. Like the comment below says, "In the Book of Exodus, it says Moses died, but He WROTE IT". What do you say about that? It's been a month and you haven't had an explanation for that. I can show you the missing scriptures in the Bible.

@SamoanT1000 For someone who knows so much about the Bible, you sure miss the point. GOD IS THE ONE who protects and delivers the Bible, not man, so it could not have been altered or had parts precious or otherwise taken from it, in ANY age, dark or otherwise. The Old Testament was a combination of recorded stories and verbally handed down and later compiled on paper stories. It was written or relayed by Moses, but compiled by scribes later. LDS people trust in man over God.
