try keeping your bottom hand low as well this teaches you to bend your knees and your arm helps protect the puck great pros use this to buy time and create open ice

Ball of your foot is the area just behind your toes, basically the front of your foot -- the part that you jump or run with.

@stepbak91 Just a suggestion, but when you turn does your right foot go up on the heel? That could be a problem and is a lazy turn because the weight is on the back foot. If you practice keeping your balance and weight even when you go into the turn, your lead skate should be flat on the ice with your weight on the ball of your foot and on your outside edge. Then you will have power in the turn. Bad explanation, but that might be the problem.

Microphone is near his mouth for better sound quality. Sure, anyone one will be out of breath after hard skating.
