Xbox 360 "Open Tray" Error Help!!!

From what i can see it seems that its not hitting a small white trigger used to send the laser back. i tried the trick where you tape a piece of plastic at the end but it didn't work
Any help would be nice
and for the love of god don't say "Should have gotten a ps3"

just remember to keep the chip out of ur old dvd drive because if u buy a new one the dvd drive motherboard wont work with ur xbox have to ur ur old one that was messup

Its either the laser or the worm motor that moves the laser. Try to replace one of those and see if it works.
