  • Thanks Barlog20 for sharing, One of the first things that must be done to help someone out of a negative condition is to first help them to realize the circumstances of their present condition, only then will they prepare their minds for proactive change. His goal here is to help Blacks to realize their economic condition in an effort to transform minds to think more entrepreneurial and to be more aware of the economic power in cyclable spending as it relates to group economics.

  • Thanks for stopping by hulkamaniac. I guess most folks rqther be entertained than informed. Entertainment is a multi=billion dollar industry. If people took half their entertainment budget for the year and learned how to start a business they could greatly improve their standard of living and encourage and inspire their circle of influence.

  • There would be less unemployment, less impoverished schools, more businesses, more jobs, more entrepreneurism, less taxes paid to support consistently economically starved communities and cultures, more hope for the future and the list goes on and on. We can talk about it or we can take action. Being a patron of your own economically, is good for everybody.

  • @dldowell1122 you are obviously a moron or a white dude making a stupid comment. Dr Claude is talking about creating real WEALTH for Black People. Stocks and all that other shit generates wealth for others using your resources to enhance those businesses. Real wealth takes your energy and resources and converts that into well being for you!

  • Hello realdad32:

What in the world are you talking about? It is apparent that you did not listen at all to this video. Not anywhere in the video did Dr. Anderson suggest or imply that anyone be given a business. This video simply encourages business ownership and entrepreneurship as a wealth building vehicle and as far as being ethnocentric, Dr. Anderson implies that blacks are not ethnocentric enough in terms of spending patterns and business alliances with one another.

  • @vidform change your wants. Its that simple. Why desire to shop at places who consciously or subconciously disrespects you as a Black person. For example, me I love candles and instead of going to body works, I found tons of other black owned candles stores online. And I mean these candles are excellent. I found candles that are candy shaped and scented etc. Very professional and nice products. Seek and you shall find. Its not that hard.

  • Glad I came across this video. I want to keep my money in our community, but I have one major problem: most black-owned businesses don't sell products or services that I want or need. My favorite restaurants are white-owned. My fav stores (including Target) are white-owned. My fav gym, movie theatre, clothing designers, products and all other businesses are white-owned. The only black-owned biz I spend my money is the barbershop. Black companies must create things that I actually want and desire

  • This is to much reality for me

  • The Black Business Directory Columbus was created to make it easy for African Americans to find Black Owned Businesses and support them. However b4 our efforts can become relevant we need more African Americans to understand that it is imperative that we began supporting our own businesses. Our children's future depends on it!!!

  • We need supermarket, banks, farming, own manufacturing plant. Something which we can trade with one another (Africa, the Caribbean, America, South America), but first we need to "respect" our own, which is the real roots of it all.

  • @Bubblegum8606

May you please provide a list of businesses that are the absolute necessary for basic essential needs (food, clothing, shelter, etc.)

  • Blacks are poor everywhere. They don't have a real sense of community/unity.

They also have the worst political leaders (most of them are useless to the advancement of their own people.
