Because like I stated previously, Americans are ignorant and think "soccer" (football) is only played in Mexico and that American football is the world sport or some nonsense like that.

Alright all you English guys need to know that not ALL Americans are into gay sports like basketball, baseball, American football, etc. I'm an American and personally I take every opportunity I can to insult those sports, and I never refer to football as soccer, I just call it 'Real Football'. So please, when you bash Americans, only insult the stupid/ignorant ones because not all of us are as ignorant as the global media seems to portray us, though most of us are, truth be told.
