i have nothing to say but thanks for sharing this song with us!!! you made my day !!!! thanks again!!!!

It was written by Tadd Dameron. I have an old Riverside LP, called 'Studio Jazz Party' with Johnny Griffin, Norman Simmons et al. The songs are introduced to the public by singer Babs Gonzalez, who tells them it's been written by Tadd Dameron. And he was one of the jazz people in the know.

There is no question that this was written by Tadd Dameron FOR Count Basie's band, as well documented since it was recorded: copyright, manuscript, dozens of recordings several by Dameron himself). The user who posted this video would do his followers a service by correcting his initial written intro.

I've loved Nina Simone's version of this Basie tune since the late 1950s. Finding it again feels like being embraced by an old friend.

I am not aware that there is a video that includes a performance of this particular song but I'd say it's worth checking the song lists on DVDs for sale online --that's the only thing I can think of really... unless someone comes forward with specific info :) I'll keep my ears open.
