Constant RF Signals between the Collection Antenna and the closest home at the Richmond BC Smart Meter test site - North West Richmond BC

According to the Itron Testing near Seatle WA, they state "Once the meter becomes synchronized with the network, a beacon signal is emitted once every 94 SECONDS to 30 minutes depending on the level of other data traffic. " PAGE 35, Heartland dot org "An Investigation of Radiofrequency Fields Associated with the Itron Smart Meter" http://heartland.org/sites/default/files/sites/all/modules/custom/heartland_m...
However, If their data was true, every 94 sec = 919 pulses a Day. This video from Richmond BC shows every 5 Seconds = 17,280 pulses a Day and 12 times a Minute.

  • What device are you using and where can you get one or borrow one?

  • @turbovanman Gigahertz Solutions, European brand, available on various North American websites. Various models. Other brand names are available however Narda another brand name, but we are not involved in sales of RF measurement meters, just trying to educate people who are searching for the more reliable measurements devices

  • what are the hi and lows of 'acceptable' risk? this vid is interesting but I do not have any comparable data to realize the argument.

  • What are the units of the meter? 640 furlongs per fortnight? I just want to understand what I'm seeing.

Also, I was under the assumption that the "collectors" have a cellular uplink back to Ma Hydro. Could that be what the device is reading, rather than the ZigBee communications between the meter and the collector? What frequency is it tuned to? 915 Mhz would indicate ZigBee, and 850 or 1900 Mhz would be a cellular signal.

Does anyone know which network the collectors use? Rogers or Telus?

  • we need to get up and fight this people... don't take no for an answer.. we have rights, and there is not reason they can not use wired meters for those who are concerned or don't want wireless technology in there homes... Get busy post signs on the side of the road make some noise against this, if you don't take a stand who will?

  • We need to do something about this ! Thanks for your video. It shows that what we have been told is totally incorrect... This is outrageous !

  • i have read that the "collection meters", those which broadcast to the tower, give off much more FR than the regular ones because they broadcast more frequently. i also read that they are installed without the knowledge or consent of the customers who are unlucky enough to be in the collection house. isn't it enough to make you want to go out there and smash that fucking thing off of the side of your house?
