WipeOut 1 on PS3

This is a short demonstration of WipeOut 1 running on the PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System.
Please note that this version of the game is the license downloadable from the PlayStation Store (74 MB), and not the original CD-Rom.

This demonstration shows the introduction to the game, as well as a short lap on Altima with the Auricom AG-Craft.

I started with 2097/XL, fusion is one of my favourite games of all time, would you reccomend that i buy this on PSN? It just doesnt have very favourable reviews on there :S

Well, I would think that the unfavorable reviews are due to how hard the game is. Ships are very bouncy and difficult to control, and it requires a lot of practice. Perhaps it frustrates some and they leave unfavorable ratings.

You obviously know that about WipEout if you've played 2097 and Fusion however.

I'd say give it a shot, but it's still quite different from 2097 so I would expect a few surprises.

It's good though it is a PS1 game.

Is the PS1 on PS3 version playable with the thumstick or do you have to control it with the d-pad?

I've played this game on my ps2. On the disc, it says its only 30fps. Im assuming the PSN version is the same as well?

Yes it is the same game, there are no improvements in graphics or how it runs I believe.

There are some differences it appears, as someone some time ago commented on this video saying the intro video was accelerated, but apart from that I haven't noticed any difference when I played the real CD on a real PS1.
