lol, more or less true. money makes the world go round (corps, oil and other stuff related to money, things of economic value go hand and hand with politics since they fund it and depend upon each other. But not completely true of course b/c the republican would never have pushed for universal health care so my friend voting does have some significance (but both parties do have to satisfy the ppl/entities that funded them into office)

I can understand the rise of the BNP and racist senitment in the UK. You have an over represented immigrant population commiting violent crimes, a great percentage living on the public purse and islamists in the street calling for the destruction of your state. The major parties have nothing offer regarding this. The sad fact is the racist parties are the only ones interested, fortunately I doubt you will see racist parties gathering real power.

I think the poeple just need a better forum.

I agree, but I think that voter idiocy is a global problem. Here in the UK, the racist parties are gaining seats because they can present a professional, radical image and promise change. Even our three larger parties are a joke but all people care about is which leader looks better.

The ancient Greek system was wildly unjust and unsupportable in only giving the vote to those deemed responsible, but with enough alcohol, insomnia and cynicism, you can start to see why they did it.
