I love Daniel Powter and I love this song, but I must say he disappointed me with this cover... I've listened to covers by Katie Melua (fabulous) and others, but this one was far behind...

Missing all the meaning from the original, this is a mere shadow of its' former glory...it's like "Tori Amos sings The Crass".

To be fair, he sang it well. For me it sounds a bit "Simon Cowelly" which is not what The Cure were about. The original would never have worked if done in this way but its interesting how these classics are being re-done. Adelle has done Love Song. Lets not forget The Cure. I would appeal to the younger generation to dig out the originals. You don't know what you missed out on.

@shambolene that is your opinion dude but, this is not a terrible cover. in his cover i can feel the emotion and the passion of the song..put in mind there's nothing good like the original but you need.n't be original to leave your mark.but still i respect your opinion. best cover i just loved it!
