This video was created to give my YouTube fans a small taste of the types of general gym exercise routines I put myself through on a daily basis. Now, of course, I don't work out my ENTIRE body every single day; that wouldn't give myself any time to recover. My basic weekly exercise routine is as follows: Monday = Chest & Triceps / Tuesday = Cardio, Parkour, Bouldering / Wednesday = Back & Biceps / Thursday = Cardio, Rope-Climbing, Bouldering / Friday = Legs / Saturday = Upper Body / Sunday = My Rest Day. So, there you have it. In my opinion, the key to success at Ninja Warrior is an extremely toned, muscular, healthy body, backed by excellent nutritional guidelines and fueled by supplementation. That's what Makoto Nagano has, and that's what I have. Take care.

I've always considered myself to be moderately strong, fit and healthy. I've been into weight-lifting for years; I've competed in many long-distance races, including one marathon at the young age of 16; and I've obtained the rank of Black Belt in Korean martial arts. However, it wasn't until November of 2007--the month I was introduced to the competitors of Japan's famous Sasuke "Ninja Warrior" Competition--that I realized what it really meant to be strong. Powerful men and heros such as Makoto Nagano, Mr. Ninja Warrior, and Shunsuke Nagasaki acted as the catalyst to spark my desire to compete in Ninja Warrior, and so I immediately began my training.

As I mention in the video, my goal is to compete in the SPRING, 2009 Ninja Warrior Competition (in March of 2009), and I've trained hard for it. Of course, I'll continue my training, always progressing in strength, speed, agility, endurance, and flexibility, and I'll do my best to create small videos such as this one to chart my progression.

By the time I submit my G4 American Ninja Warrior Challenge Video (right around December, 2008 / January, 2009), I hope you'll all watch and vote for me. With your votes and with your support, I'll have the opportunity to travel to Japan and represent the American People in Sasuke's 22nd Season. However, I have no intention of simply going and competing and having a good time. I'm going to win! I'm going to become the first true American Ninja Warrior, by conquering all four stages and ascending to the summit of Mount Midoriyama!

Please continue to watch my videos. As time goes on, the videos will become more and more impressive. I promise you that.

Thanks for watching and for your support. If you leave a comment, please leave one of support and encouragement. Nobody likes receiving comments intended to ridicule and tear down one's dreams.

  • Well it is now the 8th of February.... any details on the ANC 4...... Did you get in?

  • The competition officially started on February 2nd, and I have until February 22nd to finish and submit my Entry Video to G4. Although, I'm now 99% done with my Entry Video, and I hope to have it submitted by Friday of this week. But again, I won't know if I'm going to Japan until, at least, February 23rd or 24th. Thanks.

  • That's a ridiculous amount of weight you are lifting for your weight. I remember being your weight when I had just started lifting and was no where near your strength. You can see the massive amounts of progress you have made. I always enjoy your video's more than most ninja warrior training vids. Wish you the best of luck and hope you make it.

  • Thanks for that. I'm just now finishing up my G4 Entry Video, and I hope to have it submitted within the next few days. The real question is: Will it be the one Oliva Munn will choose? I can only hope.

  • After watching a few of your other videos I have come to the conclusion that you don't know anything about weightlifting, my advice to you is to get do some research on how to actually train efficiently so you don't waste anymore of your own time.

  • @Chronicles1250 then why was he struggling to get in his last reps on everything?

  • 3:10 you actually need to make a rowing move, to train also your back. Besides from that, you're fucking strong.

  • horrible tecnique at back rows, i ve never seen such a bad one.

  • dawg, all you need is a 45 pound ballistics vest, pull-up/dip station, push-up bars, and run regularly in sprinting intervals (not on a treadmill, just putting that out). nevertheless, good job.

    M. squats & lunges, 10 sets of 20 superset w/vest. 3 mile sprinting intervals.

    T. pull-ups and push-ups, 10 sets of max reps.

    W. 3-4 mile sprinting intervals

Th. 30-45 min of plyometrics w/vest

    F. plyo push-ups, dips, slow eccentric chin-ups 10 sets of 15 w/vest.

    S. APFT +max rep pull-ups

    Su. rest

  • @OsamaBinHorny What you're saying is crap, lol

  • Saw off video! wrong techic most of it. Too much weigth for u on back rows. You dont pull with your back and you dont stay and squeeze.Chest out m8 and stay for a while and pull close to your stomach. If you cant do push up dont do it! and use the rope right! at the end of the motion rotate your wrists out.Something that you cant do here cause the weigth is too heavy for you! thumb down video! You send wrong message out there! You trying to train your ego and not your body! Great cardio!

  • How long did it take for you to get into this level of fitness? i would like to know so i could try this myself?

  • I see you get the typical knockers, good stuff there mate.

  • btw whats the name of the song? ^^
