What's funny is that you didn't actually push a button on the ideal, you pushed the meter itself.

I used that meter for 2 years, used the stand once then ripped it off and threw it away because it was so useless.

Hey Dave! My company bought this meter for my department (don't ask why). I call it the Tonka Toy. Anyway, I thought of you and this video the other day when I went to push one of the buttons and it fell off of the work bench. :D

Do you even use multimeters for what multimeters are supposed to be used for? I bought my IDEAL multimeter to measure continuity, AC/DC voltage, and resistance, it's nice to hold, you can throw it around and it still does it's job, and it doesn't hurt my eyes when I look at it's design. I didn't buy the meter for it's easel, that would be silly. I'm glad I spent 30 dollars on a reliable IDEAL meter than 150, 200, or even 300 bucks out my BUTT for a Fluke.

@stephrb73 A good meter should be designed to be used on the bench on it's stand. It is the ONLY meter out of every one I have used/tested/owned that falls over like this. It's bad product design, plain and simple. If the meter meets your needs then fine.
