@TheAkelei The same happened to me when I heard the title song 'Mna Na H-Eireann' by the french singer Nolwenn Leroy in the television film 'The Revenge of the Whore'. I was 100% sure I knew the song, but surely not the version of Mike Oldfield, Sinéad O'Connor, The Chieftains etc. I could literally hear the pipes and whistles in my head ... The next day Wikipedia brought the solution of the riddle ...
@MISSLD125 Yes, you're right: I just had a "aha-event", as I heard the original irish version a few day ago and was quite sure that I knew the tune from another context, but could not remember at first. Glad the Christians came to my mind - now I will be able to go to sleep ;-)
