I met him in 2003 at a local shopping centre when he switched the Xmas lights on, we were waiting for him to come out of the centres management suite, and police and security were trying to move us on, we moved about 20 yards, 5 minutes later he emerged, me and my mate gave him a shout, he came and talked to us, he was interested in my friend who is a massive sunderland supporter, after a bit banter between, he shook our hands and wished Sunderland a quick return to the Premiership. they should name Newcastle Airport after the great man and/or perhaps rename one of the current stands but i also think others such as Joe Harvey deserves to be named in the stadium as others have done more for NUFC and have no recognition as of yet and tbh i don't see it changing whilst the incompetent cockney mafia are still in charge

RIP sir Bobby legend. Hope that newcastle do the right thing and name the stand after him. I'm a wolves fan in nz and also hope that the toon rise back up to the prem 4 bobby. thnx
