Chapter 4
Joes P.O.V. - Later that night
It was dark in my room. I was laying on my bed staring at the ceiling. I heard voices coming from outside. I sat up and walked over to my window. I saw Ms. Santiago and John arguing in the front yard. I saw a cab waiting in the driveway and the cab driver loading the suitcases into the trunk. I looked up and saw Natalie looking at them from her window too. She looked like she had been crying. I heard a car door slam and I turned to see the cab driving away. When I looked back to Natalies window she was looking at me. I caught her eyes and she put her head down and walked away from the window. I went back and laid down on my bed again. My head was ready to explode with all the thoughts it was crammed with. I shouldve listened to her. I betrayed her. I feel so guilty. Ive caused her so much pain and there was no way to turn back time.

One Month Later- Natalies P.O.V.
It was Saturday in the first week of October. I was three months along in my pregnancy and I had my first ultra sound yesterday. My mom and Ashley had come with. The baby was so beautiful even at only three months. I walked out of my room and as I passed Adrians room I heard shuffling coming from inside. I went back and knocked on his door. When he opened it and saw it was me, he moved back and let me in.
Natalie- can we talk?
Adrian- (sighs) yeah

I walked further into his room and sat on his bed and he sat in his desk chair. I could feel the awkwardness in the air as he looked at his hands in his lap, avoiding all eye contact with me.
Natalie- I know siblings are supposed to fight and hate each other but weve never been like that. I really dont want to start now Ade. I know youre stuck in the middle of this but you dont have to choose sides.
Adrian- I know and Im sorry. I just dont know how to deal with this situation. Youre my little sis and Im supposed to protect you. I dont know how to do that now.
Natalie- Ade, Im not so little anymore. I dont need you to worry about me. Your eighteen, a senior, this is your time to live and have fun. You have enough to worry about without worrying about me.
Adrian- yeah I guess
Natalie- so were cool again?
Adrian- definitely (smiles)
Natalie-YEAH! (Pause) sooo are you going to homecoming tonight?
Adrian-yeah
Natalie- ooh with whom?
Adrian- Melissa Crespo. Shes in my English class. Shes a good friend. What about you?
Natalie- Nah. Nick and Ashley want me to go but I dont think Im going.

Just then my mom appeared in the doorway.
Ns mom- Natalie, your friends are downstairs
Natalie- what?

I walked downstairs and saw Ashley with her hair and make up done and a big duffel bag sitting on the floor next to her. Nick was standing next to her carrying several garment bags over his shoulder. Adrian came downstairs behind me and we both had the same looks of confusion on our faces.
Natalie- Whats going on? What are you guys doing here? Shouldnt you be at home getting ready?
Ashley- Were not going unless you go too.
Natalie- like this? (Points to her stomach) as if I werent being made fun of enough already.
Nick- come on Natalie, if you dont go I wont have a date!
Ashley- Come on Nat, please!
Natalie- I dont know you guys. Id rather stay home and have a movie night with Ben and Jerry
Adrian- Ben and Jerry can wait. Live a little Natalie.
Natalie- but I have nothing to wear and the dance starts in two hours!
Nick- What do you think these are, dead bodies?

i think the song faded by the veronicas goes with number 2 but there a line in it that makes it a girls song but you could pretend that its saying somthing about a guy ! you could try Hold On by JB or Hurricane Streets by Hey Monday for no.3
