To tell my son that I had a terminal cancer was very hard. My son was a little boy than and I was not sure how to tell him without hurting him too much. I started to write a letter to him, a letter for him to read when he got older. Thomas one of my best friends, and the first person I called when I got the diagnosis of terminal cancer, asked me if he could film me. In the beginning I was shocked, how could he think in such a moment to ask me that? It took me few minutes to understand that he wanted to document those moments which otherwise would have vanished both if I survived or not. Later on he asked me if he could contribute visually, with some of the material he filmed to that letter I was writing. Thomas had recorded the message I left on his answer machine when I was going to the hospital to make more test. From that message he developed a short film that would have been given to my son years later together with that letter. I am going to post here this film, it is short, simple and I have watched it for the first time only two months ago, just few days before I gave it to my son.
