I will also get one, and use it for gigs right away... just not on its own, but with a big midi keyboard hooked on.

ola amigo. Cara, estou numa duvida cruel. Nao sei se pego o korg micro x ou um korg R3. Minha aplicacao eh musica pop e eu preciso de filtros em tempo real com controle de cuttof e resonancia. O Micro x tem leads do tipo moog? obrigado

ya thats true. i got one as a suprise and love it. the only problem i really have is the size but i think i can live with it considering I'm not ready for a gig but hooking a bigger keyboard up to it is a really smart idea thanks

No. The microX is about making unique, digital sounds, whereas the microKORG is about synthesizing vintage analog synths. Apples and oranges.

no. it plays samples.
micro korg is a virtual analog.
so microx can do microkorg like sounds.
microk korg cannot do orchestra or violins,or real drumkits,tribal sounds,choir,complex pads(no polyphony and multitimbrality )
micro x is like a jv 1010 with sequ and little keboard.
hey mr roland ,do one too!with roland(useable) sounds!

was never designed for gigs - its size and use is for home pc users really - even the korg site says that. just my input - ill still get one.
