It is the responsibility of human resource managers in a corporate context to conduct these activities in an effective, legal, fair, and consistent manner. Management is the process of getting things done effectively and efficiently with and through other people to achieve the objectives of the organization.

The role of the HR professionals & business of HR is changing. Successful organizations are becoming more adaptable, resilient, quick to change direction and customer-centered. The role of the HR manager must parallel the needs of his or her changing organization. The constant evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization results in the need for the HR professionals to frequently champion change. These includes restricting HR, delegations of HR authority to line managers, building HR competencies in line managers and an influx of technology to name a few. Both knowledge about change and the ability to execute successful change strategies will make the HR professionals exceptionally valued as real contributors.

The summit was aimed at highlighting HR's capability to assume new roles and increase the level of new competencies of HR professionals as well as other managers in the organization who drive business and determine the magnitude and impact that HR will have on the organization in future. It aimed to search for answers to the role of HR in the organization's big picture and be able to influence key decisions and policies. It invited professionals from the industry, academia and student community to discuss and debate on the above mentioned issues and related topics.

All the speakers spoke on the relevance of Human Resources in the present business trends and enlightened the students on the need to improve the efficiency of HR services which nowadays are leading to innovative approaches to redesigning HR delivery systems.
