Healus Technology undertakes research and development of the specification for heelless running shoes. We have already established patents for a number of unique inventions.

The ultimately intended lightweight shoe (220-295 grams) will greatly improve shock absorption, preventing injuries from repeated high impact forces. An additional benefit is expected to be a more efficient motion process, which may improve individual's performances

  • I use the Healus shoe for two years now. In the period before I often had stiff calves and suffered with tendon (achilles) injury. With the healus shoe my problems are over and I enyoy running more with good results.

  • We are well into a two year project, which very soon will give extra direct scientific validation of the concept. Have a look at the website of FP7 project HEELLESS

  • Harvard study showed barefoot running dosen't reduce long term incidence of injury. (Though it will give you a whole new set of muscles to stress) Metatarsal strike is just the other extreem to the heel. I love the idea of going somewhere in the middle and distributing the stress. It's like an improved version of the Hoka One One, or the Karu.

  • I personally prefer barefoot.... but hey, w/e works :P

  • uh, wtf am i watching here? that looks like a really unstable platform.

  • not bad. However, will all these technology, i wonder which one works the best as I have heard landing on your heel is very bad. How about those top brand shoes that still utilize cushion to absorb shock? Doesnt that work as well??

  • I will also continue to wear the Vibram Five-Finger or the Terraplana alternative - or simply run in my bare feet. The Healus shoe is simply replacing one man-made technology with another man-made technology - when all the time we have FEET!

Over millions of years nature perfected our feet... then a few humans, perhaps with a degree, decide that they can do better...

  • ill stick with my vibram five fingers.

  • They claim scientific evidence. They're probably right: if u compare results with people already running with a wrong technique (most amateur runners nowadays) you'll find positive results compared to other running shoes and the new 'barefoot' shoes of which they claim give Achilles tendons problems. But one has to learn proper technique first!! Historically note: nobody used high tech shoes in the 70's when running was also popular. But I guess halfway wrong is better than totally wrong.
