  • Hey there. am too afraid of doing skills and tricks in real matches i dun dare to hold the ball for too long , when i get the ball i just pass.i dun have confident in real matches. how can i improve on that.

  • @x3DeJuN - You will never get better if you don't take risks! You need to find out through experience what works and what doesn't. If you are always holding back you will never grow as a player. You need to try, fail, and learn from your mistakes. You should play quick 1-2 touches in most situations but if you have a one on one or need to play yourself out of trouble, that is where you dribble.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials But whenever i do tricks or i pass wrongly . My teamates will scold me. :( am 13 and i really hoping to be a professional footballer . i live in singapore.

  • @x3DeJuN - You have to learn to block them out. Most players especially in youth are very negative (mainly because of lots of self-esteem issues - problems with themselves - they are always looking to blame others). Just keep doing your best. Try to make the right places in the right situations and if they don't work out don't get down on yourself. Regardless of what other players say to you.

  • Heya, training just started again, and I played my first match today, and it seems that I'm actually too scared to do anything. I'm afraid I might screw up, I know I can do it, but I'm too scared that it's going to go wrong, any tips, would greatly appreciate it!

  • @Xaiden666 - Who cares if you screw up!? Learn from your mistakes. Your not going to get anywhere by holding back. If you make a mistake, think about what you did wrong and do it different next time.

But never hold back, express your self, play, have fun, don't be nervous, theres no point.
