The first rifle I ever bought was an SKS. I like it alot, however there are always the AK crowd that disdains the SKS.

@mcdade1984 I can't see how anyone can hate the SKS, it's such a solid rifle. The only thing I hate are those stupid as fuck "modifications" people do to them.

If people would just stick to the standard stock, magazine, bayonet and in the Yugo's case, standard grenade launcher, they'd be so much better.

I'd like a regular one with a fixed magazine and the origonal wooden stock with no modifications. Russian weopons have always had the 3 S's solid, straight foward, and simple. And I like to keep mine that way. All I have for my AK47 is a sling, cleaning kit, bayonet, and a PK-AS red dot sight.
