  • I am late in watching this but thanks so much for the tip of never letting the handle drop. I have let it drop many times and ended up with crazy looking mugs lol. Thanks again!!!!

  • When you attach the handles on the mug do you have the mug leather hard and the handle soft?

  • Another great video...you're my Youtube fav!! quick tech question though. I'm using porcelain and although your tips have earned some of the most natural handles I've done, I have had severe cracking top and bottom where none had been before with other techniques. Letting them slow dry covered for 5 days.

  • Simon, I'm having some cracking down at my "fish tail" end. Any thoughts on why? The top join is consistently fine, yet I get these little cracks in the smear... it's driving me NUTS! Oh... and thanks for another helpful series!

  • thx Simon for shoxing this!

    grtz from Belguim...

  • Nice Bob Ross moment there - happy handles.

    Great as usual, thanks.

One question. I heard a potter once say that a handle should be thicker at each end than it is in the center to convey strength at the joins. I see some that seem to spring out from each end, top and bottom. I've never had any luck making it look right, have you tried that or do you think about such things?

  • Hey Simon... just wondering how you make your seals. Didn't know you got a little dough for the adds.... happy to click on them, it's the least I can do for all the great videos! Thanks, you rock!

  • Thanks Simon, not just for this, but for all the other vids. Only found you a week or so ago, but look forward to meeting you one day. David and family.

p.s. Only found you cos missus is learning pottery. Now I'm hooked! And nabbed her a wheel off ebay. Wabi Sabi!

  • Very nice:)

  • Simon - I didn't know the ads earned you money. I kept clicking the X! I will begin to click them from now on - a small pittance to pay for some great videos!
