I don't think you're the same girl who performs in Santa Monica. You're focusing too much on style rather than hitting the notes. Start with the basic scales and vowel sounds, then worry about tonal quality and lastly stylization. When you finally get to that point, don't try to copy any one else - just be very natural. I hope the best for you.
