Lilac Crowned Amazon and Green Cheeked Amazons feed on Camphor Laurel Tree Berries (Cinnamomum Camphora) in Orange, CA. Despite alleged addictive properties and deadly potential to both humans and other bird species, due to toxic narcotic compositions and effects, both Amazon parrots and Red Masked Conures have been seen consuming these berries for many years without documented problems throughout the cities of Orange and Santa Ana.
