A minister speaks of why he thinks animal rights don't matter. And how animal rights and animal welfare organizations are attempting to discredit biblical doctrine. He clearly defends factory farming and animal butchering... proclaiming that God approves of all uses of animals.

It's important to mention I am not defending or criticizing any organizations this minister condemns. However, he is correct that they are interested in a prolonged journey towards animal rights. If you are interested in justice for animals NOW - go vegan.

  • I don't believe animals should be mistreated, but I don't agree with taking peoples right to eat meat away. Im a vegan, but not because I don't believe animals shouldnt be killed for food. I'm also a Christian/Buddhist. PETA needs to come down off its high horse, and people need to learn the truth about organizations such as PETA. Just my opinion.

  • @chanslems I am not affiliated with peta. If killing innocent beings isn't "mistreating" them... What on earth is? Right to "eat meat" is fine... As long as the flesh was not gotten by force, harm and killing. That is where "choice" ends - When it negatively effects Others. It's a simple matter of the Golden Rule - Any and all religions can embrace that tenant.

  • hopefully people realize you can love animals and still eat them too, i love my dog but we'll share the same food (sometimes) like a piece of chicken or a whitetail deer. nothing wrong with it, what is wrong is when people hold the same regard for human life as they do a rabbit or fury little squirrel

  • @sdfgsfgbvdfv Holding all life as sacred to that unique life is not "wrong" it is truth. The deer or chicken values their lives as much as your dog or as you!It is only by force and might that we disregard those interests. It does not mean they don't exist. Just because you choose to ignore the value of their lives doesn't change the reality one bit - Their lives mean the world to them! You only seize that life with a violence you'd never want foisted on you. Respond accordingly with empathy.

  • One does not need to eat anything coming from any animal to live. As we can see from the oxen, and many other grass-eating animals, the minerals contained in the earth which grow the grass are more than sufficient in growing huge muscles, without "protein", for which there is no word in any African language. Dairy and meat are both acidic and cause the body to be filled with mucus, which is the cause of all disease. Let's just be clear on that argument.

  • liked it!

  • @ADHD365 Who's "gOd"? Who's bible? Who's interpretation? 57% of the world survives on a plant based diet. Did you ever think that they are following "their god"?Man's morality will never suffer in being kind - And no one will betray their faith if they refuse to kill/eat animals. In fact, it's generally understood that violence is violence whether victims have 2 legs or 4.If we are to make our way towards a more peaceful and just society - It necessitates causing "least harm" in the way we live.

  • @ADHD365 American King James Version Gen 1:29

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Besides... There are many different bibles and "gods"... As for the Christian bible - There are portions which allow for slavery and murder of children - We don't embrace EVERYTHING in the bible now do we??? That's the wonderful thing about "free will".

  • @no1fan15 - Please qualify what "need" really means. Millions of people live quite well without the use of animals. They don't "need" them for food, clothing, entertainment - So why do you think YOU do? I'm alive... healthy and happy without animal "products" - I'm no one "special".... What is it that you find "necessitates" using animals? Burgers? Nuggets? Steak? Cow's milk? Leather? Wool? The circus? The zoo? What exactly is your "need"?

  • @sdfgsfgbvdfv "Animals of the word exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than blacks were made for whites or women for men." -- Alice Walker

"Taste buds"... What a pathetic "justification" for taking an innocent life.

  • @sdfgsfgbvdfv You say there is nothing wrong with it... I disagree. We do not "NEED" to eat animal flesh - AT ALL! We can thrive on a plant based diet ---- So the purpose of killing that chicken or whitetail deer is invalid. Just because I don't eat animals does not mean they have the same "rights" as humans. It just means that I believe they have the very basic "right" to not be considered property. To not be "used" for frivolous ends --- Which is 99.9% of what animals are "used" for.
