us,japan, ussr oh the good electronics now all we have is chinesse crap

It seems like the earliest TVs were modeled to look like radios.

If you bought this set in New York at the time, then you were one of the few thousand people lucky enough to watch only THREE channels on the air in 1946: WCBW [later WCBS], WNBT [WNBC today] and WABD [the "DuMont" station, now WNYW]. Their schedules were VERY limited (and somewhat "primitive"), as they were telecasting only a few hours a day, and not all of them were on the air every day....

You are aware that the RCA 621-TS was actually designed by John Vassos and Dr. Zworykin for sale in1942 as the RCA TT-7 but the war caused these sets to be warehoused until 1946.

Nice set and marvellous images. Thank You.
Wow, I'd love to see some shows even older than The Honeymooners on that set! Get some Tales Of Tomorrow, and get Johnny Legends TV Graffiti that has stuff from '49 - '52 like Beulah and Duffy's Tavern, for that set too!

This version of the Honeymooners came out nine years after the set was made so yeah, it's not quite period correct. :-)
It's not easy to find anything good that was on in late 46-early 47 though because everything was live.
I have Tales of Tomorrow DVD set but they are Kine-scoped, it'd probably look OK on a 7" screen though.

Beautiful set and great image quality!
I use a picture of the 621's raster printed actual size for comparison to my 1947 RCA 648PV's image size (a short clip my 648PV is available from my YouTube page).

Hi, thank you.
Your projection set is incredible! What a great picture.
I have a Noreco DuoView projector attachment I need to restore, it projects the image on the wall or a screen.

This one was an easy restore, the cabinet has the original finish and is about as good as anything 60 years old can be.
I re stuffed all the capacitors to keep the chassis looking original top and bottom.
